Buddy Steve
and his family came into town last night. Met up with them and
after looking around for a place to eat, ended up at this fairly
creepy joint with creepy food, peanut shells on the floor and kinda
bad service. I wanted to take them to the brewing company but it
was jammed up. In retrospect, it would have been better to have
waited there.... Met him this am around 9AM. I had gotten up to go
into work around 6AM and then came back, got the bike and met him
and family for breakfast. We then ate and went out to see the
reactors..not much..kinda lame..but there is not much here to see.
Lead the way out of town and tried to get his daughter onto right
highway,..and finally did. As they took off towards Spokane and me
back home, I realized I had not said goodbye very well and so when
I got home today I called Mike's to let them know I meant to say
goodbye but it didn't work out that way on the highway. When I got
out of work, I got on the bike and jammed it. Man...it was raining,
windy, and a bit foggy...absolutely fabulous riding weather. There
weren't many people out, and those that were were driving like sane
human beings..not the losers they normally act like. Anyway, I had
my neck warmer for a change so I was nice and toasty..and man..the
bike was just on....and so was I. I had a fucking blast!! :) I felt
right on with the bike...the tires got warmed up and after that..it
was great..just some great riding around...a warm mocha stop..then
back on and exploring. I stopped at the Honda/Kawasaki dealer to
ogle the Kawasaki ZXR1100 and then
onto the Suzuki dealer to ogle the
Bandit 1200. OMG..it's enough to make you empty your piggy
banks..these are fantastic motorcycles that are the EXACT SAME
PRICE!! The Bandit has a few more cc's and is currently being
offered with $400 in accessory money. And!!! you can take that
money and put it towards anything you want..not just Zook stuff.
So...a Corbin seat, crash bars and tank bra..and a few left over to
put towards some luggage..and this is a sweet deal. Plus, since my
quest is for a naked simple motorcycle, the Bandit is air cooled
where the ZXR is water cooled. Hmm....which would u choose?...What's On My Mind
To keep the
Pacific Coast or
no....this is the question.... The dude at the KawaHonda dealership
said that PC's are making a comeback since they are not being made
anymore. People want them and the prices for used ones are going
up. Which is good. It is probably worth more than I owe which is
nice... I don't need a new bike but I would like a new bike.
But on the other hand....I know that the PC is a great bike and
that I will miss the protection of the faring if I go with either
of the new ones. So that makes me think about keeping the
PC..however..TWO bikes? And no place to properly store them near to
me? Hmm...I have to think about this...I've been good about saving
my money and not spending foolishly. ...... ...... .....
AAAaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggghhhhhhhh....me want one...or
