Bought a new motorcycle last week...and it fucking rocks!!! I got the Kawasaki ZRX1100!!! And I got it for dealer cost cause they had no room and needed to get it gone. I wasn't trying to get them down but was listing why the Suzuki Bandit 1200 was a better bike, and the sales manager just looks at me and says "Ok..how bout $6400?" I almost passed out. List is $7100 minimum...this was like repealing the law of gravity while lugging luggage through O'Hare.. :) Got the loan approved that day and got the check and rode it home...mauahahahahahahaah...fucking love it :)
So I've been riding the hell out of this thing since then. Got 500 something on it. Wanted to get the 500mi service done but couldnt get it today..Tuesday and I have to leave it overnight :( The bike has no fairing on it except for a small bikini fairing and it takes some getting used to the wind blast..but I'm getting there :) I can now rev it over 4K rpm. The wind movement with side and head winds is soooo much less than my PC800 it's not funny. I just tuck up and the thing stabilizes and off we go :) Got a tank bra on order. Had ordered some mirrors that went on the bar ends but when I saw them..they were just too big and ugly and heavy to put on the bike. A dood on the ZRX owners list makes some mirror extenders so I'll order a pair of those and that will fix the vis problem.
What's On My Mind
Working very hard on not getting greased by my own stupidity on the new bike. I am honing my riding skills so I don't kill myself by roosting too fast or hard. Also, the tank bra is on back order and I don't want to scratch up the tank. It already has a little one from me and I don't want another.
Getting the PC800 sold. I thought some guy was going to buy it but have not heard from. Now got to put in paper and get word out. I can hang onto it for a while to get a good price but I don't want to eat too many months of extra insurance and payments.
