"The place where you hold me is dark in a pocket of truth..."

"Hey Ho! Captain Jack! Meet me down by the railroad tracks."

Funny the things that come back into your mind unbidden. A bit of a jody from the Army days. Sheesh... Must be getting senile. I didn't get to work on Friday due to some kind of 24 hour flu or food poisoning. I haven't been that sick since never. Physical pain, nausea, everything. Really unpleasant. I hear it is going around. Usually I avoid things like that but not this time. The thing just completely wiped me out. Sitting up on Saturday gave me pains like my insides were tearing out. No more Hawaiian Pizzas at the work cafeteria though just to be on the safe side.

Spent the weekend with my sweetie. A very lovely experience wherein no one gets out of bed for 48 hours. That we missed the best weekend this year is besides the point. We missed nothing. We're apart the entire week so we try (and unfortunately fail) to make up for it on weekends. *sigh* Well, in about 3 weeks she is moving in and that will obviate the need for marathon weekends. Maybe. :-)

Burned. Totally burned. When I went on med leave, work should have made sure my automated timekeeping system was modified. It was not. I was paid for time I wasn't there. Then, when I need it the most, payroll decides to collect it while I'm on disability. Soooo...after having not been paid since mid-Jan, I'm trying to pay bills. What a nightmare. I get an Army disability but come on, it ain't going to cover it. So I borrowed some money from my sister and should be able to squeak by this month. Things should be normalized by June. I hope.

Sooooo, who got caught by the time change? I know my dad did. Sweetie changed out clocks at 2.00A so we didn't miss anything (like we had something to miss) but I wonder how many people showed up an hour late for something. It was nice to see the sun for what seems like an hour longer. Aaacchhhh. Ptooh!! Just had a cig after eating a bowl of Coca Krispies. Not recommended. Bad taste man, bad taste.

Let's see now. At work, I have been assigned to work on Landing Gear schedules. Plus, the Airplane Integration schedule and maybe some managed configuration scheduling thrown in to keep me busy. Right! And now for something completely different. I work with somee nicest people on the planet..I think. Management has been very supportive of me and the other cube-clones have been a real help. No one seems real bothered bout why I was out and try to understand what it is like. It isn't the priority for me to explain things like it was so I doubt I'll be explaining myself much longer. Must have been a need for attention. At least the meds are working. I stopped taking the BuSpar because it's attempt at fixing a side effect made the original side effect worse. Lovely.

I really have nothing else to say.

Be Joyous!

Drew
