"I begin not to love you..."

What's New

An unusual early morning entry.

Up early. Zoot woke me up way to early.

What's On My Mind

Silver Springs and I'm So Afraid on loop. Fleetwood Mac are on the cover of Rolling Stone. Good article.

I think I pegged it last night. State your case and stir the ashes.

9.09P PST - Much better tonight. Chatted online with a friend and that was good to connect again. Got through 1200 Curfews. The alt.music.indigo-girls newgroups was right. About a gazillion "Thanks Ya'lls!". Other than that it's pretty good. Not spectacular but a good buy for IG fans. The Girls. Listen up.

Got Fleetwood Mac on again. Lindsey Buckingham rocks as well as he used to. I'm So Afraid is one I hadn't heard since I was in my teens. I had this VCR tape with them in concert and it got erased. Man, I mourned that tape. I still do. It was a Midnight Special tribute special and it absolutely rocked. I remember listening to this song and video clip endlessley because it just screams. It has an extended solo on it that just keeps getting better and higher and more powerful and finally kicks your ass and leaves you limp when he comes down from the stratosphere. Not too many players can do that to you. Continue to play note after note, octave after octave, and keep building. And then there is Stevie kicking Lindsey's emotional ass all over the stage. The CD was recorded at the MTV shoot. She let it all hang out at that shoot with her rendition of Silver Springs. Tears him a new asshole you betcha. Colette and I were on our Whidbey Island tour and had just checked into the Navy Lodge and turned on the set and there they were. Soon afterward this song kicks off, Colette moves to change the channel cause if it wasn't Aerosmith, she wasn't up for it. I almost knocked her over as I jumped up to keep her from changing the channel. All I knew was that I was hearing a new tune, and it was setting off serious rhythyms in me. I watched as she turned to him and sang at him with all she had. I could tell she was directing everything she had right at him. He had this look out of the corner of his eye like "What the fuck?". She just kept singing the chorus at him over and over, verbally whipping him. Ya gotta know the particulars of that relationship but it's a wonder any of those people can play together on the same stage, much less be in the same room with each other. She was crying at the end of it (and when is she not crying after one of her favorites?), and shaking. Ooooooohhhhh. Goose pimples.

Rolling Stone describes it just as I remembered it. A truly kick ass performance. Don't know how long the link will be good for, but go buy the issue, it's a keeper.

Got to go get some clothes out of the washer lest they be even more wrinkled than is their wont.

Be Joyous!

"And can you tell me was it worth it...really I don't want to know."
