Went to
Seattle today for the Northwest High-Tech Job Fair. Me and two
people from work boogie down to Seattle in the midst of one
hellacious wind and rain storm..get to the Seattle Center
Exhibition Hall...and find out it's next week!!!! DOH! Oh man..we
all felt like idiots...so we just took an extremely long lunch and
we'll catch it next week. But seriously folks, work is gettin very,
very weird. People laid off all over the place, nobody knowing what
anyone else is doing or who is going to be doing a given job in the
future.....tres bizarre.I received a
nastygram a few months back after I re-started my Diary from
someone who knew it when it was just starting out...a zygote among
diaries. Anyway, this person castigated me for the dated look of my
pages and that I had not changed the design in two years. To that I
say "yea verily". Next.As stated
above, huge wind storm went thru here today. Supposedly on the
coast they were liable for up to 100mph winds. We were liable for
up to 60mph here in Seattle area. I tell ya..I would not be
surprised to hear that it got that windy. It was incredible. Huge
winds, horizontal heavy rain...just glad I wasn't out in it on the
ocean...what a nightmare. And that damn bow off that freighter came
back and regrounded...it just don't want to go down easy.What's On My Mind
Alcohol. I
picked up some Molson Golden on the way home and this stuff is okay
maynard!!! :) I don't do a lot of beer but the stuff I do buy I
drink slowly...not that Molson Golden is Guiness by any stretch but
it tastes good to me.Called a
friend and we are setting up a visit this summer. Haven't seen him
since 1993 and the two others I haven't seen since 1983. Long time
man....age sucks :) Anyway, be good to see them.Sonja. Sonja
wrote me this last week and this week. What a neat person :)
